What made you decide to be a fertility nurse?
Women’s heath has always been so interesting to me so it was a natural progression to move from the cardiac step down unit to a fertility department once a position opened up at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. After 20+ years in this subspecialty, and a few different practices, I think I made the right move.
What is the best part of your job?
The best part of the job is working with the patients and helping get them through their fertility journey. I also am privileged to work with the most amazing nursing staff and doctors. They are a kind, intelligent and compassionate team.
What are your hobbies outside of work?
I have a husband and two children that are starting their journey to college shortly, we are excited about that. I have a beautiful 110 pound Golden Retriever that has been with us for 12 years. He is going strong and fun to be around. I enjoy traveling to anywhere that is warm and has a beach whenever I get the time off!
