Each spring, National Infertility Awareness Week® (NIAW) brings together individuals, families, healthcare providers, and communities to raise awareness, foster understanding, and support those navigating the challenges of infertility. In 2026, this important week (April 19-25, 2026) continues to serve as a powerful reminder that no one should have to walk this journey alone.
At the Center for Reproductive Medicine, we are proud to stand alongside our patients and community during this meaningful week, amplifying voices, breaking stigmas, and creating space for open, compassionate conversations.
What National Infertility Awareness Week® Is All About
National Infertility Awareness Week® is dedicated to increasing public understanding of infertility and advocating for equitable access to care. Infertility affects millions of people, yet it is often misunderstood or left unspoken. NIAW works to change that by:
- Educating the public about reproductive health
- Encouraging dialogue to reduce stigma and isolation
- Empowering individuals to share their stories
- Advocating for policies that improve access to care
By raising awareness, we move closer to a world where everyone’s path to building a family is supported and respected.
Wear Orange, Show Your Support
One of the most visible and impactful ways to participate in NIAW is by wearing orange. The color orange symbolizes strength, compassion, and unity, values that reflect the resilience of the infertility community.
Throughout the week, we encourage our patients, staff, and community members to wear orange proudly. Whether it’s a small accessory or a bold statement, this simple act helps spark conversations and show solidarity with those who may be struggling in silence.
Lighting Up Our Community
This year, we invited local buildings and landmarks to join us in lighting up orange. Look for the I-35W bridge on April 22 and Capella Tower on April 21. These illuminated spaces serve as powerful visual reminders that infertility awareness matters and that support is all around us.
From city skylines to neighborhood landmarks, each orange glow represents hope, unity, and the shared commitment to breaking down barriers. Seeing our community come together in this way is both inspiring and deeply meaningful.
Why Awareness Matters
Infertility is more than a medical condition. It is an emotional journey that can impact every aspect of a person’s life. By raising awareness, we help:
- Normalize conversations around infertility
- Reduce feelings of isolation
- Encourage people to seek support and care
- Build a more compassionate and informed community
At the Center for Reproductive Medicine, we believe that awareness is the first step toward change. Through education, advocacy, and community engagement, we strive to create an environment where every individual feels seen, heard, and supported.
You Are Not Alone
National Infertility Awareness Week® is ultimately about connection. It is about reminding every person facing infertility that their story matters and that there is a community standing beside them.
We invite you to join us the week of April 19-25, 2026. Wear orange, share your story, support a loved one, or simply take a moment to learn more. Together, we can continue to shine a light on infertility and build a future filled with understanding, hope, and possibility.
Let’s keep lighting the way forward, together.
